Since its launch in 2001, BiblePhysics has devoted itself to researching material in the creation vs evolution debate, refining that content and providing it to online readers who are looking for accurate research material.
Then, in late 2007, we decided to take a different approach. Because we recognized that fundamental belief systems are driving arguments more than actual evidence, our focus now is analyzing those arguments as well as the evidence. We're also exploring ongoing research into the speed of light and the nature of the red shift, because they are directly related to the age and nature of the universe. These, of course, are pivotal to the theories of evolution and creationism.
Our target readership has always been students, from high school to graduate level. We believe that equipping young people with accurate information and encouraging them to question is the best means by which sound, sharp minds come onto the scene. But BiblePhysics has always been a frequent visiting point for science professionals in physics and mathematics as well. This has been deeply gratifying. Their feedback has fueled our desire to constantly improve what we do.
In the end, we understand there will always be tension between those who stand on a supernatural creation event and those who believe in evolution. We don't have a problem with that. What we encourage, though, is an open, honest examination of both concepts -- all of the evidence -- striving for an objective frame of reference from which intelligent discussion can emerge.
